Who we are
Havrion Capital is a privately held investment company based in Beijing. It invests its own capital, raises no external funds, has no limited partners, and operates under no fixed term. Investment decisions can therefore serve a business's long-term value rather than a predetermined exit calendar.
The firm invests in private companies in China, with selective international exposure, taking positions that range from meaningful minority stakes to full control, spanning both RMB-denominated domestic investments and selective cross-border exposure. Most holding periods run five to ten years or longer, calibrated to a company's stage and capital needs rather than a predetermined calendar.
What we do
Havrion Capital is the investment company of Havrion Group, responsible for allocating the Group's proprietary capital into private businesses with durable long-term value (see Corporate Structure). The work is organized around six investment strategies spanning private, growth, strategic, technology, special-situations and long-term corporate holdings, each matched to a different company stage and capital structure.
The work does not end when a transaction closes. Investment teams stay engaged in governance and strategic discussions through the holding period, research teams track structural shifts in the industries involved, and portfolio operations teams help portfolio companies improve operating quality — together forming a system of support across the full investment lifecycle. The specific functions behind this system are set out in Institutional Capabilities.
At a glance
How we are organized
Day-to-day work is organized across four functional areas that work closely together to support both investment decisions and the long-term development of portfolio companies. The four areas are not arranged in a strict hierarchy; they hand off to one another continuously around each specific investment.
Investment
Leads opportunity screening, due diligence and transaction execution, organized by strategy and responsible for shaping investment decisions.
Research
Tracks structural industry change and company fundamentals, providing independent, systematic analysis that underpins investment judgment.
Portfolio operations
Works with portfolio company management through the holding period, focused on operating quality, governance structure and key management capability.
Corporate functions
Covers finance, legal and compliance, risk management, and technology and data — the support functions that keep the firm's operations sound and provide the institutional and informational backing the other three areas depend on.
How we approach investing
Judgment rests on a consistent set of convictions: disciplined capital allocation, rigorous fundamental research, selective criteria, the patience of long-term ownership, and genuine partnership with management teams. These convictions do not shift with market sentiment or short-term performance pressure; they keep the team's judgment consistent as new opportunities appear. How they translate into everyday decisions and trade-offs is set out in Our Approach.
